Based on Stellantis Motorsport’s back catalog, the hotted-up 600e should be fun to drive. The group is involved in several racing disciplines and holds 11 Dakar wins, seven Le Mans successes, and 27 WRC manufacturers’ titles. Abarth is also known for making exciting pocket rockets, and the fact that this is being touted as its most powerful yet is promising. Then again, the 600e is considerably heavier than Abarth’s former efforts. The base model weighs 3,351 lbs, which is rather much for a compact vehicle like this.
As a reminder, the standard Fiat 600e is closely related to the Jeep Avenger, which shares its platform and drivetrain. Does this mean we could see a performance version of the Avenger?
While the adorable 500e is available in the United States, the 600e (and, therefore, its Abarth sibling) won’t be offered locally. That’s because Fiat will be a one-model brand in America. Hopefully, we will receive the Abarth variant soon.
