First, let’s look at the contenders.
Neither is stock and in the case of the Urus, its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 was modded to produce 353 hp more than the “normal” 657-hp Urus Performante.
The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, meanwhile, is an all-American hero whose 6.2-liter supercharged V8 can generate 707 hp in stock form, or at least it could when it was still on sale. Unfortunately, Stellantis dropped the beast from its lineup when introducing the all-new fifth-gen Grand Cherokee. But the one featured here makes 304 hp more than that.
So how did it go? Well, the roll and standing start races were pretty close. The Trackhawk’s driver, however, did show that he had quite impressive reaction times as he handily defeated the Italian-made SUV on multiple runs by virtue of getting off the line quickly.
