“There were a lot of questions about whether we could sell a $100k SUV and we just added the long wheelbase for 2023 [Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L] and we’re continuing to add new customers to our portfolio.”
The 2023 Grand Wagoneer cannot be had for less than $88,640 while the less luxurious Wagoneer carries a starting price of $58,995. Both body-on-frame SUVs come standard with three rows of seats but they have different V8s under the hood. The Wagoneer boasts the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with the eTorque 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Total output comes to 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque and can tow a maximum of 10,000 pounds.
The Grand Wagoneer swaps the 5.7 for the 6.4-liter V8 and its 471 hp and 455 lb-ft of twist. Its maximum towing capacity is just under 10,000 pounds. Jeep recently added the new 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbocharged engine, also known as the Hurricane, and will later offer a plug-in hybrid variant that’s expected to utilize the 4xe moniker.
