The era of the V8-powered Jeep Wrangler is ending, and it didn’t last for very long. Parent company Stellantis will send off the Hemi V8 in style with a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition. This will be the final opportunity to get the Wrangler with the 6.4-liter V8 engine producing 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. After this, the Wrangler will only offer four- and six-cylinder engines plus a plug-in hybrid.
Customers who opt for the Final Edition get some extra goodies, but it doesn’t appear as though the special edition comes with anything that isn’t available optionally on the Rubicon 392. The package includes a Warn winch with an 8,000-pound capacity, a half-inch suspension lift with 11.6 inches of ground clearance, rock sliders, a tool kit, and a triple hoop grille guard.
To help it stand out as something special, Jeep also affixes hood and fender decals, a monogrammed shifter medallion, a swing gate plaque, and Black Nappa leather seats with Mayan Golf and Tupelo contrast accents. The standard Rubicon 392 is only available with a black and red leather interior, so the addition of a black interior is a welcome change, even if only for the final send-off.
Rubicon 392 Goodness
The rest of the Final Edition is what you’d expect from a Rubicon 392. A Hemi V8 engine propels this off-road beast to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds on its way through the quarter-mile in only 13 seconds. This is among the toughest Wrangler variants with a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case, full-time four-wheel-drive system, locking differentials, front sway-bar disconnect, and Dana 44 axles. As with all Rubicon 392 models, the Final Edition receives a two-inch factory lift kit, unique suspension setup, performance shocks, and heavy-duty brakes. An Xtreme 35 Tire Package brings 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires with bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels.

The Wrangler is more capable off-road than ever before.
Inside, the benefits from the 2024 model year facelift are immediately noticeable. It gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way power seats, and additional sound deadening materials. Buyers can add an on-board air compressor, which was previously available on the Rubicon 392 20th Anniversary Edition in 2023.
Pricing & Availability
As the last V8-powered Wrangler and a fully-loaded halo model, we didn’t expect the Final Edition to come cheap. Pricing starts at $99,995 (plus a $1,895 destination fee), making this one of the most expensive Wrangler variants ever sold. That’s assuming you can actually get one at the sticker price, because Jeep will only build 3,700 units globally. 3,300 of those will come to the US, 300 will go to Canada, and the rest of the world will have to fight over the final 100. Expect dealers to ask well over MSRP for the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition.
