The 2023 Jeep Cherokee range will be significantly reduced, and the V6 engine will be dropped. Jeep will only offer two trims, the Altitude Lux and Trailhawk, both with 4WD as standard. That means the Latitude Lux, X, and Limited trims are all going away.
The V6 produces 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque, sent to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. That means the 2.4-liter four-cylinder will remain the base engine, while a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot is standard in the Trailhawk model.
Pricing for the Altitude Lux will start at $39,290, meaning the 2023 Cherokee will be far more expensive than the 2022 model, which started at only $34,895. The Trailhawk will start at $42,890, up from $37,545 last year (a $3,750 increase).
